   In professional sport cryotherapy offers many possible ways to influence favourably the athlete's physical condition, mental state and/or recovery from exercise and/or injury.
   In general, cryotherapy makes it easier to train harder (by minimising oxidative stress). It speeds up recovery and return to track and makes possible to improve results. Thus cryotherapy constitutes a valuable tool for the trainers and athletes.
   The sport-specific programs and the timing of cryo-sessions depend on the qualities required: speed, reaction capacity, endurance, strength, agility etc.
   The right timing of optimal testosterone and haemoglobin levels is vital before competitions, because in today's extreme professionalism even the smallest difference counts.
